Maitri Pandya – Founder of ETHNIC-KAPDA

Born and raised in Kutch, the heart of India’s rich textile heritage, I grew up surrounded by intricate embroidery, vibrant fabrics, and the renowned mirror work of my hometown. This cultural upbringing laid the foundation for my passion for traditional craftsmanship. I later moved to Vadodara, where I pursued my graduation in IT engineering from Parul Institute, setting the stage for a corporate career that spanned over 13 years.

Throughout my journey in sales and marketing across diverse industries—including Information Technology, Education, and Industrial Automation—I felt something was missing. Working behind a desk and advancing someone else’s vision left me feeling unseen and without a true purpose.

In July 2021, I answered my calling and founded ETHNIC-KAPDA, a brand born from my love for traditional ethnic clothing and the desire to bring my Kutch heritage to life. I envisioned a brand that serves women at its core, celebrating our cultural roots through beautifully crafted accessories while empowering women through community-building and leadership.

For me, traditions are more than just beliefs or practices passed down; they are living stories that connect generations. ETHNIC-KAPDA allows me to preserve and promote the rich cultural legacy of Kutch while creating a platform for women to express themselves.

I am a firm believer that it’s never too late to reinvent yourself. After more than a decade in the corporate world, I transformed my experiences and passion into a brand that is not only a business but a movement to uplift women. I am dedicated to building a community, inspiring leadership, and empowering women to reach unprecedented heights.
